WEITZMAN SPRING COLLECTION: PART 2

As promised here are a few of my menswear-inspired selects from Stuart Weitzman spring 2010. Unlike the flirty, feminine offerings I featured in my last post, these scream Annie Hall.

I'm definitely feeling these patent slip-on loafers -- perfect for Moonwalking!

I dare not post a Part 3 to the Weitzman spring collection, but I could. The line is so diverse that there truly is something for every personality and style. Perfect for the fashion chameloen in all of us!

WEITZMAN SPRING COLLECTION: PART 1

Last summer I had my heart set on a pair of jellies, and out of desperation, I squeezed myself into a pair of hot-pink children's ballet flats (I convinced myself they would stretch). Not the most comfortable, but adorable! For spring 2010, Stuart Weitzman uses playful materials to construct grown-up shoes in a girlish way.

This pair of jellies is available in a rainbow of colors.

Lucite is another fun material Weitzman incorporated into the collection. Its translucent nature makes for sleek, futuristic footwear that (above all) match everything!

What's more feminine than florals? These pansies handpainted on nappa (very soft leather) are precious.

Über feminine isn't the only look Stuart's exploring for spring. Tomorrow I'll give you a sneak peek at my menswear-inspired favorites.

THE LOOK OF LACE

Lace is like leopard print -- it never goes out of style. There are seasons
when it's more prominently a trend than others, but it's always present.
With recent innovations, designers have gotten crafty when it comes to
modernizing the material and using it for everything. Stuart Weitzman
used laser-cut suede to resemble lace for the fall 2009 collection.
They're not the first to do it, but I still think it's so cool!

Lace is so romantic and vintage inspired, I can't think of a better
material I would want to dominate my wardrobe.
Okay... maybe leopard.

I also have my eyes on these lace-imprinted stunners by Jessica Hicks.
They're a part of her new Lace and Lorraine collection.
